Regular bus services and rail links offer easy access to the city, coast and countryside.Visitors can combine travelling around with a sightseeing tour.

Walking.

The central area is well signposted for walkers. Walking Maps are available at all Information Centres. More detailed maps of Bristol and the surrounding area can also be purchased from all Tourist Information Centres.

If you are into more serious walking then try the Bristol and Bath Railway Path. This 13 mile Path runs between Bristol and Bath, taking you through some of the best countryside in the Avon Valley with terrific views of the South Cotswolds. It’s easy to get onto the trail at several different spots and there
are places to stop for refreshment The path is fairly level on high quality hard surfaces, making it suitable for walkers, cyclists and wheel chairs with a short section open for horse riders. The two ends of the path are at Trinity Street in Lawrence Hill, Bristol and Brass Mill Lane on the west side of Bath, although you can get onto the route at a number of different points. For a free colour leaflet on the route or a booklet showing detailed access points for disabled users contact the Avon Valley Partnership on 0117 922 4325 or the Forest of Avon 0117 953 2141 . www.Bristolbathrailwaypath.org.UK
